Steve Parkhurst is a trial lawyer with 19 years experience in handling personal injury, criminal, and divorce/custody litigation throughout the State of Texas. Steve has been involved in personal injury cases resulting in million plus dollar verdicts or settlements for his clients and their families. He has litigated cases throughout Texas involving automobile accidents, 18-wheeler accidents, premises liability, product liability, maritime and offshore injuries, and industrial accidents. Steve believes in personal involvement with the clients concerning their cases, and aggressively pursues all legal avenues to ensure his clients receive the justice they deserve. His numerous jury verdicts in personal injury cases have been reported by various news and verdict research organizations.
Steve is one of the few attorneys in Texas, along with his partner, David Dies, to have a million dollar plus verdict affirmed by the Texas Supreme Court (see Del Lago Partners, Inc. v. Smith, 307 S.W.3d 762 (Tex. 2010)). Steve and David personally successfully argued the case before the Texas Supreme Court.

Education
Steve graduated from Sam Houston State University in 1992 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology; and further graduated cum laude (top 10%) from South Texas College of Law in 1996 with a Juris Doctorate degree in Law. Steve served on the South Texas Law Review, and was a member of the award winning South Texas College of Law Mock Trial Team. After graduating from law school, Steve returned to his home town of Orange, Texas, where he has continually practiced law in his areas of concentration, as well as mediating cases at the request of many Judges. He is a Past-President of the Orange County Bar Association, on the board of the Jefferson County Bar Association Pro Bono Program, and is a Panel Member of the District 3, Panel 1 State Bar of Texas Grievance Committee.

David Dies is a personal injury trial attorney with over 36 years of experienced practice in state and federal courts throughout Texas. David has been the lead attorney in numerous trials resulting in million dollar plus verdicts and settlements, including a medical malpractice verdict of nearly 27 million dollars. He has litigated cases throughout Texas and other states involving diverse matters including refinery and chemical company explosions, automobile accidents, 18-wheeler crashes, products liability cases – defective product cases, premises liability cases, maritime and offshore injuries, medical malpractice, and hurricane and storm insurance claims. His numerous large verdicts and settlements have been reported over the years by various news organizations.
David was heavily involved in the Ford Explorer rollover litigation having produced large recoveries for catastrophically injured persons, and that helped force Ford to redesign their vehicle to protect the public. He has been involved in numerous offshore rig and onshore refinery explosion and injury cases that resulted in large recoveries by injured or killed workers and further resulted in safety improvements in the industry. He routinely represents persons injured by 18-wheelers and other vehicles, and has a long history of large recoveries and successful prosecutions.
David’s firm, with a wide variety of engineering consultants, has the experience and capability of thorough and complete accident analysis and reconstruction, including all ECM and data downloads from crashed vehicles, to meet and overcome the technological demands of complex cases. David routinely handles complicated medical malpractice cases with large recoveries. He has extensive experience in cases resulting in traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries. On the personal side, David is an active offshore fisherman and diver with many years of experience as captain of boats throughout the Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean. He has been active in efforts to help preserve and restore the coastal and fishing habitats of the Gulf including the Flower Gardens Reef Sanctuary offshore Texas. He is an accomplished pilot.

Education
David graduated University of Texas in 1976 with a BA in government; and further graduated South Texas College of Law in 1979 with a Juris Doctorate in law. He was active in law school organizations including moot court competition. David served as the editor of the legal publication Annotations for South Texas College of Law and was licensed to practice law by the Texas Supreme Court in 1979. David has practiced law continuously in the areas of his concentration since 1979, having received numerous honors and awards. David has served on numerous boards and committees including as past president of the Orange County Bar Association.
